Kitty Cat Club - The focus of this class is to introduce the younger children (ages 3 to 5) to the basics of team cheerleading in a FUN, safe environment. They come once a week for 45 minutes and learn the fundamentals of motion techniques, jumps, voice, dance, basic tumbling and even stunts!! Students may also participate in local exhibitions.
Panthers I - These are 55 minute Beginner classes for ALL ages. They are “HIGH ENERGY” classes that focus on the most basic cheerleading skills, i.e. handstands, cartwheels, bridges, forward and backward rolls.
Panthers II – For Advanced Beginner students who have mastered the skills above and are ready to work on bridge kick-overs, round-offs, kick up to handstands, front and back limbers and basic drills for back handsprings. This class will focus on the knowledge of all jumps and motion technique.
The following class levels are in accordance with USASF and complement our competitive program requirements.
Level 1 – For Intermediate students that have completed Panther II skills. This class focuses on front and back walkovers, round-off over barrel-rebounds, round-off back handsprings, front and back handsprings, handstand snap down back handspring. Intermediate jumps and motion technique will also be incorporated.
Level 2 – Advanced cheerleading techniques with an emphasis on – running/standing back handspring series, round-off back handspring tucks, punch fronts, and beginning drills for standing back tucks. In this class, students work on drills to improve their jumps, tumbling and motion techniques.
Level 3 – This class focuses on more advanced tumbling passes. Students will learn the proper body positions for layouts, standing back tucks, and standing BHS back tucks. Students will learn the proper technique of double jumps and jump combinations, as well as toe-touch back handsprings and lunges.
Level 4/5 - This class is our most elite tumbling class. New skills being worked on in this class include jump to standing back tuck and full twisting layouts – working on multiple twisting and tumbling combinations – both front and back with an emphasis on air awareness.
Fit & Flex - Increase your upper and lower body flexibility, stamina and balance. Students will work on stretching and body placement. This class is for anyone wanting more flexibility for cheer, dance or gymnastics.
